Where can I get funding to study NEOs?

If you are a scientist then please register for our science section that will include information on international funding opportunities.

If you are interested in a university course which would enable you to become involved in NEO research there are many options open to you. The study of Near Earth Objects is multidisciplinary and scientists with very different backgrounds including physics and astronomy, chemistry, geology and even biology and social sciences work in this field.

If you are interested in becoming involved in NEO studies as an amateur astronomer then joining a local astronomy society is probably your best course of action. Although most amateurs are self-funded there are a number of prizes awarded each year for the discovery of NEOs.
