Is Asteroid 2003 QQ47 going to hit the Earth in 2014
Asteroid 2003 QQ47 had an impact probability of only 1 in 909,000 on the 2nd Sept, 2003 and although classified as potentially hazardous with a rating of 1 on the Torino scale is very unlikely to collide with the Earth. Further observations have now been made on this asteroid to better identify it's orbit resulting in a much lower impact probability. Asteroid 2003 QQ47 is now rated as Torino scale 0.
