Is the UK hanging on NASA’s coat tails?
NASA has a significant budget in the area of NEO research and discovery; any UK activity will be coordinated with US and other international NEO related activity. The UK has the ability to make a unique contribution to the study of NEOs and impact events. This contribution could be through organisations such as ESA and through national capability such as use of the Royal Observatory Edinburgh (ROE) data archive, observing capability around the world and world class laboratories and universities.
